future aspirations
Setting my sights onto the future, I am humbled and grateful for the opportunities that have presented themselves thus far. I will continue to evaluate my impact as a community development practitioner, policy analyst, and adult educator. With my eyes and heart open to how I can be the most effective contributor and member of my community.
I entered the Master’s in Adult Education program with the impression I needed a few extra letters behind my name to have further impact and influence with the decision makers at the table. Today, I am grateful not only for these letters I will(eventually) acquire but for the connections I’ve made along the way, the learning I did not anticipate I’d acquire and the language I’ve incorporated to explain my practice.
Besides the aforementioned interests I maintain in social justice, I’m interested in research, non-profit leadership and climate change. I hope my curiosity, motivation and capacity to learn will continue to grow.
In September of 2025, I will begin an Executive MBA at Ivey.
Lastly, returning to my commitment in the land acknowledgement, I hope to improve my Mi’kmaq language proficiency in the coming years.
