I moved to Halifax in 2019 to pursue new challenges and reconnect with the province that stole my heart a decade prior. Today, I reside in the north end of Dartmouth. I have been involved in various volunteer initiatives to elevate and empower the community since relocating to the province. I was involved with Bike Again! A do-it-yourself volunteer run bike shop. Where I worked as a volunteer coordinator and volunteer mechanic in the shop once a week.
I have also been the Communications VP and Treasurer for Disc NS, the governing sport body of disc sports in Nova Scotia, with them I ensured that all members received timely updates regarding the various disc sports, from local leagues, to competitions, to public health orders to insurance and funding.
Lastly, I volunteered at the Out of the Cold Shelter, I cooked and served hot meals for the residents. In May of 2022, I adopted a rescue pup from Furever Homes, prior to then I have fostered rescues and am hoping to continue socializing, fostering and helping rescue dogs.
Professionally, I work with the department of Health and Wellness as a Senior Policy Analyst, focusing on research and evaluation of equity and engagement initiatives. I am passionate about social justice, living a healthy active lifestyle, cooking, family, and cycling
